Noranda Wedding Season: Booking Your Blow-Dry and Event Styling Early

Spring and early summer bring a real run of weddings and formals for us, and Noranda always sends a good number of bookings our way, especially from the newer estates near Camboon Road. What I'd say to anyone in that boat: don't leave your styling booking until the week of the event. Good stylists get booked out fast in October and November.

For anything significant — a wedding, a ball, a milestone birthday — I always recommend a trial run a few weeks out. It costs a bit more up front but it means no surprises on the day, and you walk in already knowing exactly what your hair is going to do and how long it holds.

What a trial styling appointment covers

•     Testing your preferred style with your actual hair length and texture

•     Checking how it holds through several hours (a big deal for outdoor events)

•     Deciding on accessories, veils or hairpieces while there's still time to adjust

•     Locking in timing for the actual event day so there's no last-minute stress

If you're in Noranda and have a date in the diary, get in touch sooner rather than later — event weekends fill up quickly once the weather turns.
