Going from dark brown or black hair to blonde is one of the biggest changes you can ask your hair to make. It's possible, but it takes planning, and often more than one appointment.

Lightening removes pigment, and dark hair has a lot of it. Rushing the process can leave hair dry, brittle or uneven. We'd rather do it in stages, protect the hair along the way, and be honest about what's realistic. Sometimes that means settling on a lighter brown or a caramel first.
