From Balcatta to Alex Royer Salon: What to Expect

Balcatta is a bit further from Dianella than some of the suburbs we hear from most, but it's still a manageable trip — around ten to twelve minutes depending on where you're starting from and the time of day.

For Balcatta clients who make the drive, the reasons tend to cluster around a few specific things.

PPD-Free Colour, Standard Not Special

We use Keune Tinta and Semi colour, both PPD free, across every colour service we offer. PPD — paraphenylenediamine — is the most common cause of allergic reactions to hair dye, and it can affect people who've never had a problem before after years of regular colour use. Some Balcatta clients come to us specifically because they've had this experience and gone looking for an alternative.

The Consultation Difference

We spend real time on the consultation before any colour touches your hair — understanding your history, discussing what's realistic, looking at reference photos if you have them. This is the part of the process that most determines whether you're happy with the result, and it's the part that gets rushed at a lot of salons.

An Inclusive, Judgment-Free Space

We're LGBTQI+ friendly and we work at making the salon genuinely welcoming for every client, consistently. Some people choose us specifically for this. Others discover it once they're here and find it changes how the whole appointment feels.

Services

Full range — cuts, colour, treatments, blow-drys, styling, extensions by consultation. Keune So Pure retail products: paraben free, sulfate free, cruelty free, vegan friendly.

Book Ahead

Given the distance from Balcatta, it's worth booking online at alexroyersalon.com.au rather than relying on a walk-in slot. Tuesday through Saturday, Bayley Street, Dianella.
